Who is 4YA?

Founded in 2020, 4YA builds on its founder’s 21 years of experience in critical systems — from hardware to sovereign LLMs. The Moroccan AI engineering company is based in Marrakech, with operations in Casablanca. We deploy sovereign LLMs, edge architectures, and autonomous agentic workflows on Morocco-aligned infrastructure (including AWS Wavelength Zone Casablanca when a project requires it), with Law 09-08 / CNDP compliance in mind.

Our model

4YA is a publisher of software and artificial-intelligence solutions. We design, build and operate our own products — smart POS, augmented video surveillance, conversational agents — and put that same capability to work on a limited number of client projects.

This dual activity is deliberate. Operating our own systems forces us to live with our architectural decisions: infrastructure costs, incidents, technical debt and multi-year maintenance. A pure service provider does not face that discipline.

Why data sovereignty

In Morocco, law 09-08 governs personal data processing under CNDP oversight. Most available AI offerings route that data through foreign services — moving the compliance question outside the country and outside the client's control.

Our position is structural, not commercial: we favour local or Moroccan-hosted processing. When data does not leave, compliance follows from the architecture rather than from a contractual clause nobody can verify.

How we are organised

The team is deliberately small and senior. The person who scopes a project builds it and later operates it. There is no intermediate sales layer and no subcontracted engineering: clients speak directly to those writing the code.

This choice has an accepted cost: we take on only a limited number of parallel projects. We would rather decline a project than deliver it half-built.
